Wikis?

I know this has been asked before, but the responses seemed thin and I didn't get what I was looking for, so here is another attempt.  I would like to use a wiki for my two new ag classes, but am not sure what provider is good....They are being taught in a school where there has previously never been an ag course or FFA.....If anyone has any advice or experience I would appreciate some help! Thanks!

Re: Wikis?

What do you want it to do and what kind of control do you want over it?  also...do you have money to pay for a site or are you in need of a free one?

Re: Wikis?

I use wikispaces, but I am at our summer conference and some people are suggesting wetpaint.com

Re: Wikis?

This year I started using the wiki for my webpage for all my classes.  The more I work with it the easier it becoming.  Like any other website you just need to spend time with it and learn what works for you.  I have each class set up, I post my lesson, webpage and pretty much everything from FFA question, to what time the bus leaves.  I use Mycaert and alot of different materials and than I collect what I want and post what the class needs to have.  I left my FFA page open for students to add infomation about study material for other student to use.  Everything else is locked for just me.  Here is my website for you to look at http://wagner-ag.wikispaces.com  best of luck.
