Welcome to the community that's all about Supervised Agricultural Experience's. I am a 14 year veteran agricultural educator and am excited about facilitating this community. A number of years ago while teaching in Arkansas, I realized that I was neglecting SAE's in my program. Sure, I had a few students with livestock and jobs, but I was failing to really address SAE's as experiental learning and for all students. I resolved to improve my practices and make SAE's a real part of my instruction. As a result, my students learned more, I worked less, and student participation increased in FFA events and awards.
Sound like fiction? No way! How you ask? Participate in this community and I'll share my experiences and learn from yours. As an Local Program Success Specialist working at the National FFA Center, now I get to travel the country seeing all the great things our students are doing with the SAE's and I am awe-struck. You are doing some amazing things with your students and need to share them with every teacher in the profession.
